BEHIND THE MUSIC

One of the great glories we’ve seen throughout the process of working on the Vigil project is the power of collaboration in the Holy Spirit.  Greg and I have been writing, recording, and touring steadily on our own for three years, and that’s been a great gift, but this opportunity to work on something bigger than ourselves, bigger than our own little mission has been a greater blessing than we ever could’ve anticipated.  Vigil has truly been a space where all these artists and creatives who are really talented in their own rights have checked their own interests and pursuits at the door for the purpose of serving a larger mission – the Gospel.  The reason that this project is a success is because we’re truly operating as the Body of Christ in which we are all parts of the whole.  We hope that this spirit of collaboration is an inspiration to other artists and creatives, as well as those who run the various ministries in their church parishes and beyond.   When as a community we let go of our own interests for the sake of the Gospel, the fruit born from our efforts is increased because we are operating as a healthy “body”.
